Transportation
TRANSPORTATION SERVICE ZONE SCHOOLS

Transportation availability is limited and may not be available to all students. Transportation is provided to magnet students that reside within the new transportation boundaries and live more than 2 miles from South Miami K-8 Center and South Miami K-8 Center is not their home school.
Your current residential address must be up to date with your current school as transportation eligibility is determined by your residential address. Bus stop is assigned within your residential area.
Please be aware that this is not a door to door bus stop service.
If your child is eligible for transportation, you will receive a bus pass from online from the bus terminal approximately two weeks prior to the beginning of school confirming your bus number, stop location and pick up and drop off times. In making the first day successful, please help your child with the bus, by making arrangements in advance for an adult to make sure your child is picked up at the stop. This will be the driver’s first day also, and he or she will be checking passes and may need to take extra time to help confused riders and to talk to parents.
